Enterprise Life Assurance Nigeria Limited, has witnessed a baton change, this was announced to the Nigerian Insurers Association NIA and the company’s Group CEO, Mr. Daniel Larbi-Tieku said the Nigerian outfit is transiting from established milestone to new successes and would continue to innovate and grow.
The fulcrum of the visit to NIA on Tuesday May 13, 2025 was to introduce its new Managing Director, Mr. Nelson Akerele, as the outgoing Managing Director, Mrs. Funmi Omo, bows out after her term.
“With the support of the NIA and our dedicated team, Enterprise Life is well-positioned to take advantage of the opportunities in the Nigerian insurance market and drive growth and success in the years to come. The appointment of Akerele is expected to have significant implications for the insurance industry in Nigeria, as Enterprise Life continues to play a leading role in shaping the market, Larbi-Tieku said. While commending the previous MD he said Akerele has the ability to take the company to the next level.
The Director-General of NIA, Mrs. Bola Odukale, lauded Enterprise Life for its proactive approach for a seamless leadership transition, noting that the presence of the outgoing and incoming managing directors at the meeting was a positive pointer.
While commending Omo’ contributions as a council member and the company’ support of the NIA agenda Odukale welcomed Akerele and expressed confidence that he would leverage the potential of the Nigerian insurance market to drive growth for the company.
Odukale assured Akerele of NIA’s continuous support and charged Akerele to take advantage of the NIA’s resources and collaborate to drive growth and innovation in the company. “The NIA is committed to supporting its member companies and helping them navigate the complex insurance landscape,” she said.
Responding, Akerele appreciated the NIA for the warm welcome and commended Omo for the solid platform she has established at Enterprise Life as the pioneer MD. He also pledged to deploy key strategies with the support of the Ghana parent company to move Enterprise Life to a higher level.
