Outgoing Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria President, Mrs. Yetunde Ilori, says the multitudes of accomplishment of her two year tenure has been the outcome of hands on the plough of the secretariat that executed her EPIC mantra, insurance professionals and other stakeholders in the line of duty.
Ilori while emphasising the need to work together and flow together as one insurance industry for all times at her valedictory virtual press briefing today, said nobody can achieve alone. Content Ilori said collaboration which has been the hallmark of her term, will continue under the term of her successor, 53rd Akinjide Orimolade. The nest of collaboration which she cleared has woven the industry into one unit, would serve as a platform for the incoming president of the CIIN.
Mrs Ilori who said she is fulfilled, honoured and humbled by the good comments of people, said she is handing over the baton to someone who has upwards of nine years as a council member, would certainly run better than she had done.
According to her, outstanding projects are designed to be continuous She cited the one million youth insurance awareness project, insurance foundation books for beginners one for age bracket 4 years to 10 years and the second for ages 11 to 16 years with over 5000 printed, and ongoing collaboration with institutions and government departments.
Ilori said she will be vacating the office of the CIIN President though, her involvement with insurance would still be active, Of note is her membership of the Insurance Policyholders Protection Fund committee, which she noted has a lot of things to accomplish
