As an antidote to unabated building collapse that is taking the shape of a wave across the country, a high note insurance professional has put on the the table of solution product guarantee insurance.
The insurance professional and broker, Mr. Casmir C. Azubuike (pictured above) who is the managing director at AfriGlobal Insurance Brokers Limited, called up this as a response to the frequent collapse that always comes with several loss of lives.
While making his presentation, “Changing the Face of Insurance Practice” at the joint media retreat for insurance correspondents organised by the Insurance Industry Consultative Council at Asese Ogun State, Azubuike said building collapse could be stemmed by offering insurance cover to guarantee the quality of materials used in building.
This he stated, should be arranged with the manufacturers of these products to make sure that the products rolled out of the production lines are made to set standards and this should also involve suppliers who are in the chain of execution of projects.
With this in place, the guarantee that products meet specified standards and are supplied as stated right from the manufacturers stable would guarantee that rules are followed as declared in all relevant policies regarding construction.
