The group managing director of NEM Insurance Plc, Tope Smart, has ben enthroned into the prestigious commanding seat as the 47th President of African Insurance Organisation at the just concluded AIO conference and general assembly.
As the whole world watched including Nigeria’s Vice President Yemi Osibajo, Smart took the mantle of leadership pledging to change the insurance landscape of Africa with a five point agenda.
The new AIO’s president agenda is wrapped in a five point straight statement of declaration to make Africa insurance landscape the cynosure of emerging market. First on the agenda block is to improve penetration in the African market, followed by adoption of digitisation across market, collaboration among markets, collaboration with governments and regulators and increase level of consumer trust.
