For the next three years, Mr Diipo Olanrewaju (pictured) will hold the mantle of authority of the Institute of Loss Adjusters of Nigeria. This follows the change of guards at the Institute’s 40th annual general meeting today in Lagos where the immediate president, Mr. Reginald Egbuniwe and his council was dissolved.
Joining the presidency of Olanrewaju are the new vice president, Mr. Ikechukwu Udobi and six other members of council who together were elected unopposed as single candidates for their posts. The six are: Dennis Okwuoma, Adewale Sadiku, Nkem Ezeala-Otti, Akin Ajayi Gbolade Otukoya and Habib Alimi.
In ultimate address to to members, Egbuniwe chronicled the efforts made to earn the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria examination first by meeting the production of two books: Report Writing and Adjustment of Claims. This was later increased to three books which he said were delivered within specified deadlines.
“It was unfortunate that despite meeting these milestones the commencement of our exams for this year yet eluded us. On a brighter note though, we have however been assured that the ILAN examination will commence with the Foundation Course in April 2023 while Report Writing and Adjustment of Claims have been scheduled for October 2023” a comforted Egbuniwe assured.
