It was a hilarious moment, this was captured by the lens of the camera when the National Insurance Commission led by the Commissioner of Insurance, Mr. O S Thomas, was welcome to the fort of the Kano State government by Governor DR. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
Requests from the Commissioner for Insurance spiralled up and every one of them required the full participation of the government of the state and Governor Ganduje obliged all; his only down time was the moment he disapproved of the disproportionate laid back of the insurance operators, an action he said, was creating gaps in the confidence stretch and, therefore, and they should do more in gaining public confidence and improving public perception of the industry to match the efforts of the regulator
Governor Ganduje accepted in good time numerous requests that Kano do more as the grand master of north commerce by translating this to insurance, more so after it has been recognised as the insurance hub of the north, a sprout from its lead as its commercial nerve centre. The speed of response was enough to ignite a glow from the CFI and the CEO Of Kano State and the Commission’s entourage, an uptick for the Commission.
