The score card of pension operations in Nigeria up and until mid year 2020 pooled pension fund assets totalling N11.09 tr June , the National Pension Commission (PenCom), has disclosed.
PenCom stated this in its released summary of pension fund assets as at June 30, 2020. The report showed that the assets gained N666bn from January 2020, where it stood at N10.43tr to June, where it closed at N11.09tr.
PenCom stated that N7.46tr of the assets, which is 67.25 percent, was invested in federal government securities, while, local money market securities got N1.62tr, amounting to 14.57 per cent.
National Pension Commission stated N4.77tr of the assets was invested in RSA fund ll, while N32.32m of micro pension contributions have so far been invested.
