Regulators are opening a new page for growing the economy and climbing down from the sit alone stage and come together to the platform for collaborative synergy for the good of all players in the mix.
This position was spared by the Commissioner for Insurance, National Insurance Commission, Olusegun Omosehin, at the 10th anniversary of the Nigerian Association of Insurance and Pension Editors held in Lagos on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. The Director, Legal, Enforcement and Market Development, Talmiz Usman represented him.
He makes it clear, “Through collaborative synergy among all stakeholders, we expect a marked increase in operational metrics, reflecting the sector’s accelerated growth trajectory and reaffirming our commitment to excellence.”
Weaving the nest of collaboration Omosehin adds, “I believe that collaboration and partnership are essential for the growth and development of the insurance industry. NAICOM is committed to working with NAIPE, industry stakeholders, and other partners to promote awareness, education, and innvation in the industry. Together, we can create a more robust and effective framework that benefits all Nigerians.”
He emphasised that the Commission stand “determined in ensuring a sound and stable insurance sector that will optimally contribute to the growth and development of the Nigerian insurance sector. The commitment of the Commission in ensuring adequate protection of the policyholders and beneficiaries to insurance contract remains firm.”
