West African insurers have been admonished to make necessary commitments to handle the anticipated surge in the demand and untapped side.
Zainab Ahmed, the Hon Minister fir Finance, budget and National Planning, said she was already positive and equally optimist about the new dawn and she encouraged the attendees to believe as well.
The Minister who said this at the West African Insurance Companies Association (WAICA) educational conference and the celebration of its 50th anniversary ongoing in Lagos, inferred the new dawn is compatible with the aspirations of the founding fathers purpose of improving the image of the insurance industry in the sub region whilst assisting in establishing an environment for industries and economies by promoting cooperation in every respect amongst all the insurers and reinsurers companies operating in the sub region. .
The Minister said a new dawn is possible for the sub region insurers and it would leverage technological innovations, “and a positive paradigm shift focused and poised to meet the anticipated surge in the demand and untapped side.”
