The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) has commenced payment of consequential adjustment to pensioners in the four operational departments categorised as Defined Benefit Scheme (DBS).
The four operational departments of the Directorate are: Civil Service Pension Department (CSPD), Parastatals Pension Department (PaPD), Police Pension Department (PPD), and Customs, Immigration and Prisons Department (CIPPD), the payment according to PTAD is in line with its commitment to the pensioners which remains until the last man dies.
PTAD through its head, corporate communications, PTAD, Olugbenga Ajayi, said the Executive Secretary, PTAD, Dr. Chioma Ejikeme has followed through President Muhammadu Buhari’s approval for the implementation of the consequential adjustment to the pension benefits with effect from May 2021, a co-joined lift with the new minimum wage increase of 2019.
The pensioners who have started receiving their accrued arrears were advised to beware of pension fraudsters and report such scam to the Directorate for investigation and prosecution.
