The Insurance Week 2026, which is tagged ‘NIKO’ Reloaded, to advance insurance industry all hands on the deck pursuit of insurance for all driven by digitised insurance penetration will be formally launched tomorrow. Yesterday was insurance walk from NEM Insurance head office Ikorodu Road, Lagos to National Stadium Surulere.
It was show of celebration, excitement, dance and a flood of engagement to make the day fulfilling. It is a week of engagement and excited President, Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria, CIIN, Mrs Yetunde Ilori said during interview by the sideline that the Institute will be distributing to designated elementary schools two books in two age brackets, the first is for age bracket 4 to 10 years and the second is for ages 11 to 15.
These books Ilori disclosed will in elementary presentation showcase the ABC of insurance, such that for the upcoming generation there will be no dearth of the knowledge of insurance. Eventually she said these books would be distributed across the country.

She said insurance professionals have the young generation in the plan when creating new products, the innovation that is driving new insurance products she remarked is focused on young talents.
The CIIN President also said they are excited with the feedback from the secondary schools visited in 2025 Insurance Week. She said several schools have established Insurance Clubs, this novel set up Ilori noted is an indication that insurance embrace is real.
The thrills of the Stadium was remarkable. It stated with tug of war, egg race, water relay race, CEO penalty kicks, and a dance show. The CEO of ConsolidatedHallmark, Mrs Mary Adeyanju was the winner. The dance winner was NEM Insurance.
The tenacity to stay to the end was recognised and rewarded. The company that was honoured without prior notice that there would be such recognition, was AXAMansard. All the staff stayed in their pavilion to the closing remark, at a time when the whole place was almost deserted in the hot afternoon.
